The F1 Times, a fan made site dedicated to all things Formula 1. This website contains a beginners guide from the history of F1 to everything you need to know about the current and upcoming season in 2022. From power, precision and politics, you will be able to read about the science that goes on behind the four-wheeled car; what makes the 20 cars on the grid similar and different. With a new set of car regulations coming in the 2022 season–the 2021 season coming to a close in December, the F1 Times will provide you with the latest updates on teams, schedules, new tracks and winners.

What is Formula One

It’s lights out and away we go looking into the premier forms of racing around the world: Formula 1. Governed by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile or the International Automobile Federation (FIA), Formula One, commonly known as F1, is considered the highest class of international racing for single-seater formula cars in the world.

October 28, 2021 - Welcome to the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin Texas! The 17th race this season, here is everything you need to know about the 2021 United States Grand Prix. Due to coronavirus restrictions in 2020 the US Grand Prix was cancelled but the competition returns to COTA this year at the perfect time of the final 6 races of the season.

The Flags of a Race

There is no doubt that every race weekend is filled with a great number of events, overtakes, wins, and at times some engine failures and crashes. To maintain order within these weekends, race officials directly communicate with drivers to indicate caution or danger, relay important info, warn them of unsportsmanlike behaviors, even signal the end to every race session. If you’ve watched an F1 race before or planning to watch one in the future, here are the meanings of the flags waved during a race–from those seen almost every weekend to those last seen in 2007.
